Wee Companions focuses on small animals, including guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, rabbits and chinchillas. Its work offers a way into rescue beyond dogs and cats, with adoption, foster homes, shelter care and a store that supports the organization and local caregivers.

Volunteer roles range from cleaning enclosures and preparing food to helping customers, transporting animals and representing the rescue at community events. There is even a route for skilled sewers to make cage liners, hammocks and other supplies from home.
