Ivey Ranch’s equestrian volunteers help make therapeutic riding possible in Oceanside. The work connects care for the horses with support for the people who ride them. Previous horse experience is not required: the ranch introduces new volunteers to its safety practices and the roles available.

The entry point is a registered orientation, followed by signing up for an appropriate volunteer role. This makes it a useful option if you are drawn to horses but want guidance before helping.
